London Visitor Pass

Has anyone bought one of these? It seems like a good deal if you are going to see a lot of stuff but you have to buy it befor going if you want the "free" travel card.

I have found a site that sells the travel card separate and was wondering if I should just buy it and then wait for the Visitor pass until we get there.

Any advice out there?

Whenever I have gone to London, I just purchased a one-day or weekend Travelcard, depending upon my needs, from the fare card machines at a London Underground station. I have never used the London Visitor Travelcard, nor have I considered the London Pass that includes, in its price, free admission to numerous museums and other attractions.

Not knowing which web site(s) you have been to, here are some links that might prove helpful in determining which plan is right for you. There are a number of options to suit most any length of stay, whether for business or leisure.

London Pass:

Rail Europe offers London Visitor Travelcards and the London Pass:

Transport for London (bus, light rail, river services, etc. - plus link to the Tube site):

Have a wonderful time in London and safe travels across the Atlantic!

I have purchased the Visitor Travel Card twice. It's for the underground and the busses and includes several rebate coupons. I'm not sure that it is more than just a little cheaper than buying one-day travel cards but it is easier since one can choose between 1,2,3,4 and 7 days. Must be bought from British Tourism in your home country.
