well it very much depends on two pieces of information that you have neglected to mention

(a) the airline and

(b) the nature of the error

Is there though? Id be staggered for a UK citizen to be denied boarding back to the UK itself

What does this mean?

If you are really concerned, get to the airport early and point out the mistake to the ticketing desk.

There's no upside to doing that. If you make FR aware of the spelling error, chances are that they'll charge you a fee to change it or ask you to buy a new ticket altogether. I wouldn't mention it. And yes, there are plenty of valid, non-immigration reasons for FR to deny boarding to a UK citizen on a UK bound flight. Keep quiet and if someone notices act surprised.
