Deportation

Hello... I have been recently deported from the UK after having lived there for over 21yrs, this is because of a built up of minor criminal offences, I was never aware of the immigration system as we moved there when I was only 6yrs old and to be honest all along I had thought I was already naturalised as a British citizen etc. I appealed my deportation order and lost all appeals regardless of the fact that I have lived there from 6 till 27yrs old, never visited Mauritius in that time and have forgotten the language and culture etc, most importantly I have an English partner and we have a daughter together! Unfortunately... Yes I was sent back to Mauritius. Life has been very hard for me, with 10% or so knowledge of the language and having to move around houses with so called family that I have long forgotten, if not hardly ever knew before. I would like some help with regards to returning back to the UK at the earliest possible, chances of a successful revocation of the original deportation order or if it would probably be best to re-locate to another EU country with my partner and baby with her exercising her treaty rights and me eventually gaining citizenship for myself then returning back to the UK as a family. I regret my past unlawful actions and strongly hope for the day to be re-united with my family and back in a country which I call home!

I look forward to some helpful suggestions and viable information that could help me in the future... Many thanks to all in advance

I really think this isn't the right place to ask this... I'm usually not the first one to jump in and suggest that you consult with a solicitor as I think informal advice can be useful, but mate you really need a solicitor. As for your plan to acquire EU citizenship, or otherwise return under Surinder Singh, please note that there are still mechanisms for you to be excluded... only a proper solicitor can really give you good advice on this. The forum here is focused more on travel, and the immigration questions generally orbit that topic more or less–this one is way outside of this remit, and you really need professional advice.

I echo Microwave and you really do need to speak to a properly qualified immigration law practitioner - one registered with the UK Home Office.

There are several dedicated immigration fora on the internet and you may very well be better off looking for one of those.

I agree about the need to get proper legal advice, but...: While it may only be "second best" for you, might a (permanent) move to Ireland perhaps be a better solution? You would be in a culture that is very similar to the culture you grew up in, and - most importantly - you would be able to live together as a family. It would mean some upheaval for your wife and child, but I'm sure she would feel more at home in Ireland than in Mauritius.
