They're great - and I wish!

Your somewhere on the A83 is the Rest and Be Thankful pass (possibly one of the best pass names in the UK )

Thanks for that. I had read the name somewhere but didn't realise I'd been there

Great set of pictures. ^

The weather seems to have been kind. October is a marvellous time of year to visit Scotland. All the summer tourists have gone and the colours are changing. Just a shame the days are getting shorter.

Weather was perfect really, excellent skyscapes for photos and lots of good light at moody angles. I'll be honest, I don't normally like to travel to the UK in October or March because I miss the short or long days being in Colombia and would prefer long drawn out evenings or short hazy days (just for a change)

Thing is, until I got to Gretna Green, it also completely escaped me that it would be Autumn as we don't have seasons in Colombia either, so that was a bonus too. I also hadn't realised how slow the sun would go down, so I took a photo at sunset in Inverary, then drove around to Lock Awe and the sun was still in the same spot. How do they do that?

Couldn't have wished for better light or colours.
