Options for TWA Miles
I will admit up front... not very familiar with the TWA Aviator program.
However, my partner and I just moved to Rochester, NY and have a lot of miles on TWA. Looks like they do not fly out of Rochester, Buffalo nor Syracuse. Does anyone know ways to use these miles for airline trips?
Any help would be appreciated.

William- it seems like the closest airport to you that they serve is Toronto. Their partner, America West, will be starting service there as well in October (this is what I could make out using the two airlines route maps and my Californians knowledge of New York geography).
Don't forget the extra taxes involved w/transborder flights from Canada - I am guessing you are responsible for paying these on award tickets http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif.
I think you can transfer the miles into HHonors points (at a loss) which I hope somebody more knowledgable can step in to confirm/deny. Alternatively, perhaps use them for relatives who do live near a TWA city?

TW miles transfer to HH program in the 1:2 ratio. 5,000 TW miles equals 10,000 HH points. I think it is a pretty nice conversion personally cause 50,000 TW miles earns 6 free nights at an upscale Hilton property or other awards of high value. You may consider buying a ticket to get to a TWA gateway and taking a few transatlantic trips to burn a few miles.
