IST-KUL back to 777 ?

I just booked a YYZ-KUL itenary on TK for next month. the YYZ-IST is a 777 with the old 2x3x2 layout but I was hoping for a 787 on the IST-KUL (whihc is what i had when I did this back in May last year). I see a 777-300ER on the ticket. has this been changed ?

Using Google Flights "less emission" and nonstop filter, The route is served by 787 starting March 31st.

Equipment type is subject to change. While I'd expect it to be relatively stable for February, when it appears OP will be traveling, there is still hope of a swap to a 787 or A350, both of which have a 1-2-1 configuration in J.

but the old 777 seats are so much more comfortable (except the middle seat of course...)

To each their own. Seems like OP prefers the 787.

More precisely the afternoon departure from Istanbul is the 787; the early morning flight is a B777.

TK62/63 are fairly consistently a 787. Ditto for TK60/61 on a 777, but there was a period when it was scheduled for an A350. It has since switched back to a 777 though.
