Elite Plus Members can give Elite membership as a gift?

Is it true that M&S Elite Plus members can give Elite memberships as gifts? As I see, for 40000 Miles, they can do that.

If possible, can someone do me a favor I'll be very happy to get it, even post a selfie of me to this thread, smiling, after my every flight.

Elite Plus members may designate three "loved ones" to give elite cards to, against 40,000 bonus miles each.

Giving 40k miles as a present? Are u really hoping for it? For your reference, Europe - Asia business class ticket costs 45k miles.
