I believe that this is the correct thread. I will be flying business class from SFO to IST and then after a few days, flying onward to ATH and returning to SFO via IST. In reading the website it appears I can carry-on to the business cabin 2 bags at 8 kilos each plus my personal item (purse or briefcase, no weight specified) for a total of 3 items. Am I reading this correctly? Thanks so much.

I may need to make a change to, or cancel, a TK-issued award ticket (TK metal only). Per this page, it sounds like the charge to cancel (or change?) is $30 USD (per pax?). Is that right? Any waiver for Elite member?

Turkish Elite Lounge Access..
Hi there,
Turkish Elite passengers are allowed their Spouse + Kids in the CIP
lounges. Do they give pass for family in non CIP Star alliance
lounges ? Or they give only 1 + 1 guest pass ? I am interested to
find this out for BOM location if anyone has experience...
I am TK Elite, flying to IST from BOM with family (no status, Economy).
Just wanted to find out if I can take Wife + Kids to BOM * alliance
lounge ??
Thanks in advance...F.A.

Family-Lounge Access for TK-Elite is only valid for the CIP´s.
On all *A lounges worldwide you can only guest +1.

That's probably the rule, but I have never experienced to not getting my wife and two kids with me into any *A lounge around the world. I usually take a humble approach and ask nicely, and it has worked every time so far.

I believe that taking a humble approach and walk up to the lounge dragons and ask politely if you can bring your family in even though it's stretching the rules, is the best way to do it, at least it always works for me.

There are some snacks available plus basic booze is complimentary at the bar (you can tip, but don't have to).
Showers are located on the 3rd floor.
Do not expect too much, though - it is UA facility after all
