What is TK policy due to BKK floods.
Hey just called TK and they said they have not waived any fees because of the Bangkok floods?
Has anyone heard anything different?

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport is operating normally.
As the airline have an agreement with you to bring you from one to another airport they fulfill their obligation towards you and are not required to provide any compensation.
It is nice if they do off-course but are not required to do so.
Also the inner city of Bangkok ( where most of the tourist are going when they stay in Bangkok ) is normally accessible and don’t have any flooding.
Off-course this can change in a short notice.

Only those tours which would go the northern part of Thailand or who would stay around Bangkok.
All other tours ( specially those to the south ) are running normally.
Geographically seen only a small part of Thailand is effected by the floods.
This is also the case for Bangkok.
The inner city is dry and hopefully will remain dry as the last day of the high tide is today.

The point is not whether the aircraft can land, or, indeed, whether you'd get your feet wet walking around downtown.
A number of government agencies have advised citizens not to travel to Bangkok and some other areas of Thailand.
You might not agree with the good sense of that advice, but there are very real consequences arising from it. For example, acting against it is likely to render insurance policies invalid. It also puts tour operators and airlines in a difficult position in terms of potential liability. Most major carriers will follow the spirit of the advice and relax the change and/or cancellation penalties attached to tickets bought before the travel advisory was issued.
Turkish tell me they are allowing passengers booked to travel before 09 November to cancel their journey and claim 100% refunds. Well done Turkish!
