This is gross. We should not accept it when flying C.
IIRC TK stated 5* for C and 3* for Y PAX.
They tried to put me in the Akgun twice. The second time I refused and got the Marriot.

OK.You're flying Y+.But as C PAX you would have ample reason to complain.

In former they put us in the WOW 5* which was very near to the Airport,Metro,Mall, nice Gym & Bar on the rooftop and great bf.

After that,it was the quite new Marriot which is ok but I liked the WOW better.

Now the Air Boss ??? Next time maybe a little shack on the Airfield

After such a highly acclaimed lounge, they should keep their standards a little higher.

Apparently they are only consistent in inconsistency & serving HAM & Cheese Sandwiches for decades

Sounds like my room in the Akgun. At least the room was big and that's it.
Not even cleaned with leftovers under the bed.
I really wonder who is reviewing their so called 5* Status.

While the room was sufficient for a 6 hour stay, its the neighourhood and inaccessibility of anything that sucks.

Sorry.
I took pictures with my Mobile to have leverage but the quality was abysmal so I deleted them.

Don't take it.As a C-PAX ask for a 5* but refuse the Akgun & complain to their customer service. At least it worked for me.
Btw.A Desk Agent at the CIP Lounge gave me this recommendation.

OK, now I am at my hotel room... And thank God it is not Air Boss!!! Even just for location-wise, that place is crap.

As U (a.k.a. CC, Y+) I got assigned to stay @ Grand S (Senol) Hotel. "suppose" to be 4*.

More about my report in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/17251440-post117.html.

I flew CC in August NRT-IST-ARN. TK only has a late flight to ARN on 3-4 days a week so I had to stay over.

I booked myself in the Courtyard, which was a decent hotel. And it was only around EUR 80, I think.

I guess that I avoided the lottery at least.

You most probably did.

This lottery is another good example for TK being consistently inconsistent.
I think the 80€ are well worth to spend as you had a decent room & free shuttle and hence how much time it took YYZ to reach his hotel.

It maybe is TK's End Game.To annoy us so much with crappy hotels that everyone sooner or later will pay by her / himself

I had the pleasure to be in this chic and urban establishment on my last trip:
