Interlining baggage

I'm flying LHR-IST-BKK and then switching to a new PNR on Bangkok Airways (PG) to CNX. This is a domestic flight but the CNX airport can handle international immigration but will TK interline baggage with PG to CNX? Is the risk of losing a bag increased significantly by doing this?

About a month ago faced a similar dilemma. The agent couldn't interline our baggage from BJV-IST-BKK to CNX. The onward connection was with TG. On the return TG had no problem in interlining our luggage. I guess it all depends on the agent that processes your check-in. When it comes to TK and luggage, well, I don't take any chances.

As far as I know you cannot interline bags outside the Star Alliance Network . In addition your domestic ticket in on a different PNR , however doesn't belong to a star alliance carrier.
Risk of loosing bags increase usually on how tight is the connection and efficient is the ground- baggage handler company.

we have a four hour connection time in BKK and since it is on a new PNR the departure tax is paid for. Looks like it might be best to go through immigration in bKK, pickup bags and re-check in. Sometimes BKK is quite slow with immigration whereas other times its quite fast but seeing as we have a large window I dont foresee problems. TK68 from IST to BKK seems to be delayed by 30-75 minutes usually but this still leave ample time!
