Just booked F class IST-NRT in August, 2011.
TK wont let me assign seats. IS that a rule? all other airlines let me.
Might they swap the 77W for the 777 thus screwing me over with my confirmed F class?
Also, how do I arrange a limo pick up in Istanbul? Im using USairmiles so will they still offer this to me?

I flew the IST-NRT route this July on the 777. Service was great and I loved the Suites. From what I have read they are notorious for swapping to an Airbus. We had the hotel call a few days ahead and got the car service. I used US miles and was still eligible for it. They picked us up in a Mercedes van. The other passenger by me said ge got an S class. It's funny, all 4 people in FC were 1) Flyertalkers and 2) using US Miles!
The departure was seamless. The driver radioed ahead. There was a uniformed primeclass agent waiting as we pulled up. They wrapped all luggage in plastic for free. We were escorted to a reserved table in the lounge via golf cart. Got some strange looks but enjoyed the experience.

For what's it worth, my 4 flights on 77W segments up to now were as advertised and not downgraded to a 343/332/738/really big pigeon.

Are they still flying F on the LHR to IST route?
before some of the sarky regs reply " this has been reported on many times " or see such and such a thread, they have changed their minds on this route many timesas they have done with the routing of the leased Jet airways plane.
I love the F product , but as with many of you have been subjected to aircraft change at the last minute.
