Iris recognition after cataract surgery

Which of the screening apps use facial recognition and which rely on eye scans?

I recently had cataract surgery and the Clear kiosk didn't recognize my eyes. I'm hoping that there will be a way to reset my eye scan.

Do NEXUS and Global Entry rely on facial recognition and not on eye scan?

The Global Entry kiosks use fingerprints and the NEXUS kiosks in Canada use Iris recognition technology to confirm identity. Both Global Entry and NEXUS are transitioning to facial verification.

To expand on TWA884's response, Canada's use of iris reading technology is being phased out. This web page lists Canadian port of entry airports which have already transitioned to facial recognition at their Nexus kiosks for entry into Canada by air:
https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/kiosk-eng.html
NEXUS facial verification kiosks are located at:
  • Vancouver International Airport
  • Montral-Trudeau International Airport
  • Halifax Stanfield International Airport
  • Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport
  • Edmonton International Airport
  • Toronto Pearson International Airport
  • Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport
  • Calgary International Airport
NEXUS facial verification eGates are located at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.

I don't think NEXUS iris recognition is used anywhere anymore.
