US/Canadian-issued ABTC can only be used to access the APEC/Crew/Diplomat lane. It does not replace/waive any visa requirements. Chinese embassy webpages mentioning visa not being required is for ABTC with CHN endorsed on the back. No US/Canadian-issued ABTC will have that endorsement.
The button to renew your US/Canadian ABTC will appear in your profile 30 days before the card expiration date.

And voila, I got the email saying that its been approved even before I stepped out of the US embassy. The whole process took less than a minute for me.

Hi, Canadian NEXUS holder here but living in Singapore. Does anyone know if its possible for me to have my ABTC application approved and signature captured by just visiting the US Embassy in Singapore?

I wasnt able to schedule it on the website but I was able to ask them to manually schedule an appointment for me.
And voila, I got the email saying that its been approved even before I stepped out of the US embassy. The whole process took less than a minute for me.

Ok well I stopped by at US CBP during pre-clearance at YYZ T1 and they mentioned they could do the ABTC interview, but I would have to get a number and wait in the queue post-customs just like any other Nexus applicant (it's the same waiting area)
It seems like they take in one group every 15 mins, and I was in a rush (there already was quite a bit of people at 6am).

Did the US-side at EWR through enrolment on arrival last week, they asked even less questions - just asked where I worked and signed the pad. Now shows as fully approved on TTP portal - no email notification.
