I was also under that impression while trying to learn more about the process. I just noticed that my PASSID did not get assigned until a week after my application.
Congratulations on your quick approval too!

Conditionally Approved
I applied on 12/18 and on 12/26 I was conditionally approved my bf applied at the same time and is still waiting approval. Also there are no available appointments in my area. I wonder if it’s possible to just do a walk in.

Keep checking availability. My airport has random spots open every day but they go quickly.

I put in my inquiry through the question portal, for my infant's application from mid-August. I got the standard email response. This was followed by another email immediately afterwards, confirming they had closed the question, asking for me to fill out a survey.
I think they were congratulating themselves since their boiler plate response was so good.

Applied June 28th... still pending review. 186 days (over 6 months). I called and got through on 877-227-5511 (i called right at 8:30am). She said that the average wait time is 6 months, and they are making June applicants their priority; however, there is nothing she can do until it has been at least 8 months. She said to keep waiting and call back at 8 months to see what my options are.
