Out of the breads, the croissant they had on board today was particularly very good. I had the light continental breakfast, the yoghurt in the muesli was not enough so it was a very dry muesli. Otherwise a standard AI J domestic meal.

I got the chicken goulash with pasta, actually very solid, that bread was decent too.

The order of the photos is a bit messed up but I got the Seoul Flamed Prawns. I will say that AI international catering is lacklustre compared to the domestic sector I had just had right before. Other than the champagne that was always kept full by the crew, the cheese plate was the only solid part of the food offering.

The crew was incredible though, and great to receive pyjamas and an amenity kit on a 5 hour flight!

I got the Louisiana Creole Seabass and mimosas. Once again a lacklustre meal on an international segment and by virtue of being a BOM based crew or because it was a narrow body (A321LR) crew, the service was lacklustre.

Indigo’s quasi-business class product called Stretch, available on their A321neos. For domestic flights, this comes with a nice 2-2 recliner seat, extra baggage allowance, priority boarding and a cold snack box. No lounge access or priority baggage tags.

For a third of the cost of a standard J class in Air India, I was quite impressed. The snack box meal was tiny but very well done. Not bad for a LCC premium product.

PS. My comment is that the food was awful. The Malay Chicken Salad was strange and I was not asked about my dessert choices. The F/As were overwhelmed by the amount of work on these short flights. They offered choice of fruit, cheese or dessert. How about just simplify it to a fruit and cheese plate, since there are plenty of dessert in the bar in the aft of the cabin. The aft cabin was not served until an hour into the flight. They really ought to use a trolley.
