PRG-LHR-PHX on 747 Upper Deck
Continued from here.
I think that there's not a chance to fly on 747 upper deck every day (well, some of you might have the honour), so here's a little photo trip report.

PRG-LHR | 26-May-07 07:55 CEST-09:10 BST | BA 853 | A320-111 G-BUSC | D Seat 5A

A320 on PRG airport.

Menzies lounge wasn't really overcrowded at 6:30am.

Nothing could happen to us.

Neither to engines.

Breakfast in Club Europe. No butter.
LHR-PHX | 26-May-07 14:35 BST-17:10 MST | BA 289 | B747-436 G-BNLB (Lo-J) | D Seat 64K

Last three windows up are mine.

Upper deck.

Club World seats.

Seat 64K is mine.

Electric chair.

Pre take-off champagne.

Iceland.

Really :-)

Greenland.

Greenland coast.

Mountains in Greenland.

It's still a long way.

Chateauneuf du Pape before the dinner.

Champagne.

Wine.

Dinner.

Small pre landing snack.

Club Kitchen - serve yourselves.

Starter. Butter is frozen.

Salmon cake with something green :-)

Dessert

We're almost there.

Fast, high and cold.

Something small before landing. No butter.

Phoenix.

A few beers in the hotel bar and going back!
PHX-LHR | 01-Jun-07 19:20 MST-02-Jun-07 13:05 BST | BA 288 | B747-436 G-BNLX (Lo-J) | C Seat 62K

BA have six flight a week from PHX and keeping their own lounge :-)

It's really a big plane.

Eveing PHX.

Stairs to UD.

My seat 62K.

There a lot of space on 62K, but I found 64k being better.

Full Moon.

Night fly.

Electric chair during the night.

Dinner.

Starter. Butter is frozen.

Horrible presentation, but I like Indian food. Taste was OK.

A piece of cheese.

Breakfast.

Breakkie in reality. Had bacon roll then. Butter is frozen.

Sunrise.

Do they call it terminator on The Earth too?

Just few miles.

Crew was pleasant.
LHR-PRG | 02-Jun-07 15:00 BST-17:55 CEST | BA 856 | A320-211 G-BUSG | C Seat 2A

Almost done the queue.

Some metal tube...

LHR Airport.

Bye, London!

Lunch in Club Europe. No butter.

Behind the Channel.
It seems that BA has some troubles with the butter.

Some great photos in there! I trust that you thoroughlt enjoyed the experience!
I thing that did catch my eye was the cockpit photo. I noticed KenF managed to get on the flightdeck (LH 744) the other day too. I have asked onboard several flights recently upon various carriers to visit the cockpit at the end of the flight and have been politely refused everytime. The reason give was '11th Sept' and 'security'. I asked on SQ, after being refused access myself, if the FA would be so kind as to take a picture in there for me. The captain refused this too citing security policy.
What am I doing wrong???

Or maybe I just have a peaceful face

I don't understand it - there are thousands of cockpit pictures available. The whole security concept is silly IMHO.
For example - you are not allowed to take more than one hand baggage. Does anyone see any security reason for this?
Or they won't allow to take toothpaste or manicure scissors with you - but you get metal cutlery on board.
Another example: as citizen of NATO country, but not good enough
I needed to apply for US visa to be able to enter the US soil.In forms there are questions like:
Do you seek to enter the United States to engage in export control violations, subversive or terrorist activities, or any other unlawful purpose?
Have you ever participated in persecutions directed by the Nazi government of Germany; or have you ever participated in genocide?
Have you ever unlawfully distributed or sold a controlled substance(drug), or been a prostitute or procurer for prostitutes?
Can you imagine anyone answering YES?
This was quite difficult to me:
List All Countries You have Entered in the Last Ten Years (Give the Year of Each Visit)
But there was also quesiton
Do You Have Any Specialized Skills or Training, Including Firearms, Explosives, Nuclear, Biological, or Chemical Experience?
Well, being voluntary fireman, my answer was - yes, all of them excluding firearms

Wonderful photo report! I need to learn how to post/upload pictures. Any quick course available around here?
P.S. I usually fly in the opposite direction, ending in PRG. My flights are on *A and Air Canada has butter. Perhaps you'd like to switch?

It's not a typo - Skymap was running in two language versions (EN & ES) - no possibility to switch, but languages were rotating. So it seems I incidentally made a picture of Spanish Skymap.

) spell Phoenix as Fenix? Someone should tell BA they should proofread their maps
