Hore Abbey
Next to the Rock of Cashel is Hote Abbey, which can be seen in one of the photos. I wanted to go there, but unfortunately there are no parking spaces at the entrance and as it was late, I had to settle for a photo from a distance. What a shame...

Golden Castle
On the way to the hotel, we passed the Golden Castle in Golden. Inside the ruins is a bust of Thomas MacDonagh. He took part in the Easter Rising of 1916 and was executed. Today, he is revered as a national hero.

In the evening, we went to the Oak Room, the hotel's 1-star restaurant.

Cliffs of Moher
The next day, we went to another very well-known destination, the Cliffs of Moher. You park in a parking lot and pay for each passenger in the car. The “experts” therefore let the passengers out before entering. So there you are, standing in the middle of the road, Grandma Erna gets out SLOWLY, SLOWLY takes her things out of the trunk and so on. A long line then forms behind it. If I had been behind them, the horn would have set a new record.

Cliffs of Moher
I was determined to see the Cliffs of Moher from the water. So despite the bad weather, I headed to the Doolon pier.

Trinitarian Abbey Adare
The former monastery church dates back to the 13th century. Having fallen into ruin, the church was rebuilt in the 19th century.
