I couldn’t resist a mini egg espresso martini

This one is much easier drinking, dangerously so! After this I better slow my roll a little bit and have some breakfast, but before that I want to go and see what time the nail bar opens, I trimmed my nails yesterday and they’re a bit higgledy piggledy and in need of some filing. And, no, I don’t own a nail file

Good morning!
It is 9am, and you are on your second cocktail and at least three glasses of sparkling down... You should be on one of those jet2 flights to Spain! I hope you have tomorrow off, or are at least working from home. It's time for my first coffee of the day.

It was time for a little wander down to duty free to see what was new. The Glenmorangie seems to have been around for a while

This sign was probably a poor design choice

Don Julio have a special edition 1942 which is currently sold out,

And there is also a Prosecco which is clearly being marketed to a certain type of clientele

With nothing to tempt me to take out my wallet I headed off to the nail bar. Quelle Horeur, it is no more

Oh well, it must be time for breakfast

The food will take a while, I’ve gone for a Maple Chop variant so they advise a 20 minute cook time.

So I count 3 glasses of fizz and 2 espresso martinis by 08:30! I’ll clearly have to up my game on Wednesday, but respect to you. After all when in an airport time has no meaning!

linz36 beat me to it🤣

I know, I’m taking it easy .

If Jet2 start serving Champagne on board I’ll be there, until then I’ll just have to put up with this Pommery Louise.

JapesUK if you are still awake and lounging about in the CCR in maybe seven hours’ time, I will raise a virtual toast with you from one airport to another, from the TG lounge in BKK

Breakfast is served. Maple chop and freshly scrambled egg

The tip I was given last visit to order freshly scrambled egg has clearly paid off

I’m sure you already know to ask for champagne in the galleries lounges. Last time I was in there they were pouring Monopole, decent enough and better than the Prosecco to my tastes.

Nicely fed and partially watered and it was time to decamp to the bar once more.

And some Easter themed biscuits

I think I shall head to a cabana after this and grab a quick freshen-up shower.
