I must admit that the way you describe chatting up the flight attendants and your amazing spirits tolerance, you bring to mind the character "The Saint" (Roger Moore), even though all we ever see of you physically are your legs.
"Charming", dated or not seems to fit you......

‘Chatting to’ …. I’m way past the stage of ‘chatting up’ anyone
. I’d like to think I’m more of a Sean Connery, albeit without the Scottish Burr

And now we return you to our original programming
Good morning from Lisbon where it is now 7am and time for breakfast, but before that, a better picture of the hotel

And the hotel cafe/bar in the park opposite’

The breakfast spread is a lot better than it looks in terms of variety as they have only a small amount of everything.

The only niggle is that the sausages are cold, looks like the heat lamp over that dish is either off or broken.

Looks nice.
I went a bit more classic with my breakfast.

Still debating whether "To Budapest (and Eger) with Skyteam" is worth the trouble. I think it will fall to how much can I show about the destination.

It’s a fifteen minute walk to the meeting point for the first tour and I have seventy minutes to get there so time for a follow your nose wander. I loved this part of the meeting instructions:
Meet by the center statue. It's a big square with 2 fountains on each side and in the center a high column with a man on the top. If you are in a square with a statue of a man on a horse, you are in the wrong square.
Lets see what Lisbon has to offer, I suspect the first answer will be Coffee!

The first distraction was this street market almost immediately outside the hotel. Many craft stalls and jewellery but nothing to separate me from my money

A couple of sights along the way

And this monument to the pavers that built the ground westumble over walk upon

Coffee acquired and time to watch the world go by. Weather forecast was 14 degrees and cloudy, reality is 17 degrees and sunny already, so glad I brought a coat!!
In the background I can hear whistles, drums, and bullhorns and suddenly groups of people in fancy dress are appearing

Timed to the second with my arrival, the heavens opened

It didn’t last long but was heavy and, of course, it is now slippery underfoot

Not the greatest choice of meeting point as there’s at least five groups gathering, but found the right ones eventually

Looks like you picked a great weekend to visit Lisbon! The Portuguese do love a carnival and it’s likely to continue until the wee small hours, enjoy🍾🍾

Stop one is Solar de Madalena Bifanas for a pork belly sandwich

Mustard and a rather sneakily hot piri piri sauce to accompany

Beer and meat to start the tour, approval levels are high
