The eggs whites tasted better.

Obviously Gumbo has a refined palate.

No time to hit the Marina this trip, but it was fun to be on 101 and the Bay Bridge. And the weather was simply glorious. Sunny and mid-60s.

His first taste of people food as a puppy was a steak from Del Frisco's just off the grill

OK, so jetBlue doesn't have a lounge, their website is dysfunctional and JFK T5 is a dump... but inflight they are great and Mint Studio is a wow. Way better than AA's transcon First product.

The winter breakfast menu...

To start, a Mint Condition and warm and tasty croissant.

Given the switch to B6, I'm guessing your visit to the LAX FL will have to wait for another day.

Markie just posted some breakfast food pics in the FL thread in the AA forum.

That's sea bass? I thought it might be some kind of red meat. Looks literally inedible. The salad, meanwhile, looks like it came from a pizza parlor. What a contrast with the appetizing food on JetBlue -- shame they don't even have a contract lounge though.

You lucked out with the JetBlue switch for sure.

Did you happen to get a picture of the wine list for Flagship F onboard? I’m curious!

Not just any old sea bass, but Miso Saba Sea Bass. LOL.

Straight from The Wine Spectator list of fine wines.

And the menu...

Catering on Jet Blue looks much better, and more inventive, than anything I’ve seen of AA F between JFK and LAX or SFO, and I’m not just talking during Covid.

Thanks for posting the menu and wine list. What a disappointment. At times I’ve been curious to try AA transcon F but that interest is slipping.

IMO, the only way that AA transcon F makes sense is if you have extra time and can take advantage of First Dining. That way, you don't have to eat or rely on mediocre wines inflight.

True. It’s fascinating how usually the better wine is onboard rather than in the lounge! But the contrast between LPGS at FF Dining and H. Blin onboard is stark. Any idea what kind of Champagne AA serves in Flagship F on international routes?

Blin

Blin is hilarious, what a champagne, lookup what (Блин) "Blin" means in Russian

AA serves better Champagne on its handful of Flagship F international routes. Recently it's been Philipponnat Cuvee 1552 or Feuillatte Palmes d'Or - neither of which are terrible options. By far though, the LPGS offered in FFD is the best Champagne/wine AA is currently serving systemwide.
