Oh really! Glad to hear that you are planning a 3-week trip to Iceland. You will love the Land of Fire and Ice as much as I did. If you have additional questions, feel free to ask here or PM.

Totally, we always knew we would return but your photos have really reminded us how much we love Iceland and how much more there is to see. If the world had not falling off it's axis we would go this September, but
we feel that is going to be too soon to plan a long trip.

I too pray that the world won’t fall off its axis, because I have many remaining flights of my currently postponed DONE4. I will catch up from HKG. My positioning flights on AA to HKG have already been UG’d.
BTW and in retrospect, I noted a guest house outside of village center of Grundardfjordur when I was photo-shooting near the ranches. From afar, it looked kind of new. It could be a decent place to stay. I would love the views from there. Just a thought, in case you plan to stay near Grundardfjordur. The name is Kiekjufell Guesthouse, on the eastern side of the village. Know nothing more beyond what’s mentioned.
Under current situation, best to play it safe. This year, there is no need to book too far in advance, or do it with free cancellation.
