No Zhuhai HSR at the bus terminus?

Interesting. Thanks for posting. I’d be sticking to the ferry, although the bridge crossing is way cheaper.

That's the new high-speed train station, which opened weeks earlier than the bridge but with disappointing patronage figures so far.

Wow! What a structure. I had no idea something like that was under construction there. Hopefully ridership increases and it doesn't become a white elephant.

Thanks for the TR! Love your pics. I don't think I would use this bus link. The ferries seem to be mush easier, even thought costing more. Time is money and I don't like the idea of all that walking and standing around.

Thanks, super interesting. Will be in HK in about two weeks' time, I had sort of thought of riding the bus, but maybe not...

Going from Hong Kong to Macau, looks like you need to go through immigration twice: Hong Kong side and Macau side. Do you need to go through Chinese immigration as well? I am wondering if you need Chinese visa.

Despite the bridge being in majority Chinese waters, you only need to go through Hong Kong and Macau immigration for Hong Kong - Macau, and only Hong Kong and Chinese immigration for Hong Kong - Zhuhai.

Fascinating and certainly an engineering marvel. I question whether it was worth the 10+ lives lost in building this, especially considering the restrictions in place on who can use it (all the licensing/insurance restrictions that is).

When I was in Hong Kong I saw the construction work. It's also questionable if it's good for the sealife.

How long is the actual trip. I took the ferry in 1977. There was nothing in Macao then. It was really a waste of time. Is Macao worth visiting now?
