Looks like you had a great time! Of course, great quality TR - always something to make me jealous Have been to the City dozens of times over the past few years (lucky enough to have a free place to stay at my sister's) and still find something new every time. Hope you get to go back soon!

I look forward to your next TR.
It certainly is Grande Annee - cant wait to return. It will probably be 2019 too I imagine! Got a weekend in Alicante soon and then a Vegas and Palm Springs trip in April!

Agreed lamphs. Sorry if you thought I was being too political with my Donald pics and small bit of commentary (I see you edited your post to remove that part). I hope I didnt offend anyone!

Nice report thank you!

I'm utterly amazed at the amount of food you put down on your way home. Full meal in the club, another full meal for dinner, breakfast on the plane, then another full meal for lunch at the CCR.

This is why I am currently on a diet. But all that food was for the benefit of the FT community...... that's what I told myself at the time!

No apologies needed I thought it was great (and funny). I would just get too stuffed so I normally pass on the lounge meal on a evening J departure. Your committal to the FT community is well appreciated LOL

Thanks for a great trip report that makes me want to visit NYC again (haven't been since 2012). The food in the JFK CCR looks excellent too.

I wanted to catch sunset so we had a quick walk down and thankfully didn't have to wait in the queue for long before we were up in the elevator and out to the viewing platform.

This was my favourite part of this trip. The sunset was absolutely spectacular. I will apologise now for the number of pics of the same view but the colours were just something else. I managed to FaceTime family from the top of the Empire State to show them the sunset and they absolutely loved it!

Heyyyyy Flat Iron! Not seen you yet!

Hoping this panorama posts OK.....

I spy with my little eye......

Coming up to the finale of the sunset.....

I mean, that was just something else. To be in New York and see that sunset from one of the most famous buildings in the world was so special. I was absolutely bloody freezing standing outside but I didn't want to go inside and miss anything!

Anyway, there's not much from the evening...... we went to Avenue Q which was amazing and then started here.......

And I can't really show much more of that night in fear of getting suspended for breaching numerous rules.......
Lol. Thanks stu1985. I just saw your great TR (albeit at least a year after the I should have found it). I used to love "Flaming Saddles" and went there often I lived in NYC. Many a happy night ;-)
