Thank you very much Yuff, glad that you enjoyed my report.
Thanks so much, QFBoy!
Glad you like those loafers as much as I do...
Thank you very much for your kind words, Seat 2A.
I'm glad that my TR brings back nice memories...
Thanks a lot for your compliments, adampenrith!
Japan during Sakura is indeed magical and Shanghai definitely worth a visit as well.
Thank you very much injian, happy that you enjoyed the report.
Regarding night shots: I'm really not an expert, I just have a camera that excels at night shots: a Sony RX 100 III.
For the drive from Osaka to Kyoto I used a company that was booked through the StR concierge, QFBoy. Unfortunately I don't recall the name of the company but if it comes back I'll send you a PM.
Thanks so much for your continued enthusiasm miamiflyer8, much appreciated! ^

Just caught up on this amazing Trip Report. As others have said it makes me long to be back in Japan although only just over 4 months to go to my next visit. However it also makes me long to return to Shanghai where I haven't been for perhaps 13-4 years. The view out of the PH of the Jing Mao tower reminded me of a great stay we had back then at the Grand Hyatt. It was the highest hotel in the world at the time.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I'm glad that you enjoyed my report. Have a great trip to Japan and should you go back to Shanghai you'll be amazed to see how much it changed since your last visit.

No, I'm in law enforcement and the sig is really about why we're on this site, the love of miles and points. Though I can see how you may think it's finance related
