Another excellent GA trip report. GA is definitely another Asian airline on the rise. Too bad that it's international route at this time are still limited and number of flights to a destination (save Singapore) are limited, e.g., CGK-HKG two flights daily while SQ and CX would've flown 6 to 8 times daily. Perhaps the addition of LAX as a new long haul destination would've made it better known, at least by travellers from the States.

I hope Jakarta's new terminal is going to make more foreigners willing to fly GA as well. Terminals 1 and 2 of Soetta are nothing compared to Singapore's Changi and Kuala Lumpur International. Very few duty free shops and fancy restaurants inside and quite run down as it's three decades old. Hopefully Soetta's would've improved its stature as an international hub once all international operations relocate to new Terminal 3 this summer.

Excellent report. Thanks for posting and taking the time to review, Pak. Penasaran dengan sup Iga sebagai appetizer. Hope will be able to taste it soon.

Thanks for a very enjoyable TR, showing the superiority of GA J to many F hardware, and especially software products. Travelling to CGK once/twice a year, this TR certainly makes you think carefully before deciding on carrier.

If this even was your first post - congrats!

Garuda has amazing service.

The new Diamond suites are excellent althought the old ones have been pretty good too.

As for hot meals and snacks - been doing that for ages.

We regularly commute to DPS from SYD - alway get a nice lunch after departing and then a cold snack prior to arrival - the timings are normally 1000 dep and 1415 arrival.

On the Red Eye DPS to SYD - they offer all pax a hot snack if they are not heading to sleep on Departure and then a full cooked breakfast prior to arrival - timings normally 2330 0800

Outstanding airline

Excellent TR, and what an amazing standard for business class! Clearly something that we are all going to have to try!

And it's not just a snack, it's a full course lunch service.

As for now, they might have limited routes. But hope for the best they would make good money and start to open other routes. Finger crossed for Soetta T3.

The pictures are missing ... most likely due to exceeded bandwidth.

Will check back in couple of days
