Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800 to New Delhi in Upper Deck Y
Another trip on the Airbus A380-800 from Singapore Airlines:
There was nothing out of ordinary with this flight.
Although, one has to say: flying out of Singapore Changi with a Singapore Airbus A380-800 is in a different league than flying out of London Gatwick on a Easyjet Airbus A320.
By phone we were able to score seats on the Upper Deck in the aft Economy section.

Some photos from the place where I was staying near East Coast Park, Singapore (lot of people say Singapore is boring; however, where in Europe do we have such a residential area in winter-time?):
Singapore Changi Airport - Terminal 3:
Departure area - Terminal 3:
Christmas decoration, Singapore style:
Airside: Terminal 3:
Singapore Food Street (expensive, but good, be aware: you get no paper towels in Singapore):
Empty Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Lounge Terminal 3 (honestly, it is not so bad; I've seen worse lounges; moreover, it has natural light in comparison to the SKL):
Tarmac tour, when transiting between Terminal 3 and Terminal 2:
Automated People Mover between Terminal 2 and Terminal 1:
The airside swimming pool (they've raised the price to 17 SGD and do not include any water or non-alcoholic drink anymore):
This special livery Airbus A380-800 (9V-SKJ) will take us to India:
Boarding gate area after security:
A380 Fuselage:
Aft Upper Deck section:
Our Economy seats on the Upper Deck:
Lots of shoulder space due to the curvature:
This flight will be almost full in Economy:
Upper Deck galley:
Staircase between Upper and Main Deck:
Aft Economy section on the Main Deck:
Wingviews from various perspectives:
Massive, isn't it?
Taxiing from Terminal 3 towards the edge of Runway 20C:
Parked Singapore Airlines Airbus A350-900:
Getting ready for take off from Runway 20C:
Singapore East Coast Park:
This must be Singapore:
Overflying the most Eastern part of Singapore:
Overflying Langkawi, Malaysia:
Getting closer to the thunderstorm areas in the Bay of Bengal (pilot notified us that we should not worry; he has a good weather radar; moreover, the A380 takes turbulence quite well):
Dinner Menu:
complementary Dinner - not bad:
Desert:
Night time is chasing us.
Are we on the Dreamliner?
Roaming around the plane (aft economy section upper deck):
Foward Econony section on the Main Deck (Premium Economy can be seen in the background):

Wow, that looks like a great economy flight. I can't believe you actually got a printed menu!
The upper deck window seats also look great with their extra storage space, looks like a big improvement over the main deck window seats?
