Airliners.net
Have people here looked at the trip reports at Airliners.net? Seems like our is a much more mature forum than the other.

Don't waste your time with a bunch of dumb tweleve years old. How long can you go through Airbus is better than Boeing (no reasons why..."they just are, and you're wrong!" or that Delta is the best airline and anyone who thinks that UA is better is wrong.
I stopped going there about two years ago when they started sucking. Back then people actually knew what they were talking about.

I agree, there trip report board is more of a general Q and A about travel. I also noticed that many of the regular posters are around 14-16. They were pretty mature but didnt have the consumate airline knowledge of many here.

A recent report said the following:
(paraphrase), "On a recent BA flight, the FA's let me fulfill a dream. They let me serve the meal."
Doesn't that come with a big insurance "no-no"?

Being a well-travelled 15 year old, it's hard to stifle laughs from reading some of the posts on that ridiculous board...something with a title of "NW SF0-MSP-DCA-MSP-SFO" would have a body of
Last year, I went to Wasshingten to visite my grandmother. We flew NOrthewst. The stwearddeess were nice because they gave me a whole can of soda, and 2 bags of peanut mix. It was snoweing when we got to Minneapollis. When we got to San Frnacisco (SCO), our bags were wet. Maybe the rain came through the luggage doors.

The airliners.net discussion boards are usually a joke. 90% of the users there are immature teenagers who believe that their opinion is gospel truth.
Sadly though, it does tend to attract some pretty influential people, who get turned off (or worse still, driven off) by the squabbling kids.
One example was my dad, who heads up the Inflight Service department of an international airline. He once posted about the details of a codeshare agreement he personally had helped negotiate, only to be corrected by a 15 year old who had "heard" differently.

Boy that must have been pretty embarasing for your father. He worked on a deal himself, and a 15 year old knows the agreement better than he does. ... just kidding.
Anyway, interesting link, but I don't I'll be going to that discussion board again!

Not all teenage posters are immature or unknowledgeable, at least the ones on this board aren't. I just wanted to clear that up as to prevent any animosity between the under 20's and the old people, like me, at 24
In addition, the airliners.net board is good for a laugh and keeps many "less advanced" travellers off our board. Happy Holidays

To be fair, a lot of the threads in the civil aviation forum are interesting and informative... but stay out of the "misc" one.

I am a frequent user of Airliners.net, and I can say with certainty that you guys haven't experienced it. First off, we are 2 different sites, one for enthusiasts(airliners), and 1 for travelers(FlyerTalk). If you want to consider differently, then that is fine. Secondly, we are not all 'dumb tweleve years old'. There are a lot of Flight attendants, gate agents, and pilots. I may only be 14, but I am not dumb. I have an IQ of 149, and my SAT score is 1280(At 13!). And I believe that the people we have is a lot better than a bunch of frequent flyers who fly 100,000 miles a year, then complain when they can't get a free upgrade, or the plane is late.
