Their high season price for 6 days/a week is min. 4200++ for lowest category manual

Maybe they changed their price. We went in the high season (June) last year.

For Mykines: hiking.fo

For Traelanipan:

Free no more, dear tourist! It will now cost 67 USD to hike from Mivgur to Trlanpan - Local.fo
Last edit: So this article is for the hike from Midvagur, but when I asked on hiking.fo I was directed to a 60 EUR hike "Mykines." Is that REALLY the hiking fee we have to pay? Seems pretty steep. All I see when I search says "the fee is payable on hiking.fo" but I can't figure out where. That site sent me the message with very little info in it.

For Mykines, they've got a guy at the fence to the peninsula with a phone who can swipe credit cards. If you didn't pay in advance, you can pay there.

In the Faroes now. The Traelanipan/Sorsvagatn lake hike is 200 DKK ($30) per person or 450 DKK with a guide.

Good to know. That's high, but not crazy high.

Yeah that seems to indicate it can only be done with a guide.. at least it doesn't list the non-guide price.

KOKS was quite amazing. I had booked a seat at the communal 8-person table and had a great group. Even more magical, a blizzard blew through (twice) while we were eating.. when we went in the landscape was green and it was white by the time we finished dinner.

Lucked out with the Kallur lighthouse trail as well, it had been raining all the way from Torshavn, but got to Kalsoy and the sun came out. Until I got to the top at the lighthouse and a rain squall came through with bitterly cold fierce wind and rain, so didn't go out to the extra ridges. Then the sun came out again about halfway back down the trail...
