Simply amazing. Take a bow sir. Both for the pictures and your willingness to explore remoteness with aplomb.

Wonderful report and pictures DanielW.

I think I could get used to waking up to a view of Kongde Ri peak each morning. :)

The guy who I am talking to about doing EBC in July has not said anything about the monsoon being a big deal. I will just have to press him harder next time we talk.

Finally a proper trip report!!! A report about a trip! Less focus on food, more about what you see and do! Not eat. Awesome read, brilliant photos. Easily my favorite report so far.

I can't add anything new to the (well-deserved) rapturous chorus, but felt I had to chime in anyway to say thanks for such a great photo report. It really inspires quite an urgent need to get out to that part of the world :)

Cheers, enellai:). I know 'experience of a lifetime' is an over used term, but this trip was definitely well qualified for it:)

Many thanks, deovrat:). Had to pinch myself when we landed in Lukla, when I was only in the hot concrete jungle of Dubai 12 hours earlier:D.

Thanks, lb8001:). Has been a while since I got out into the wilderness so was great to photograph something totally different for a change.

It's probably doable, just have to be ready for it I guess. This is from my trip notes:

"Travel in rural areas during Monsoon Season (June - September) can be hazardous, with rains causing flooding and landslides that can cut off regions for days at a time. Travellers need to be prepared for all weather conditions and changes in planned itineraries if necessary."

Many thanks, ghostchips:). Yes, not much inside the Flydubai cabins is very photogenic, hence lots of pics everywhere else:D.

Many thanks, mad_atta:). I must admit I was a bit blasé before, but had a big grin on my face when I boarded the flight back home, an amazing experience:)!

I don't know OP if you heard about the storm

Not sure how far away that was from your trek.

Not sure on the other nationalities.
