I'd love to see the look on Herman's face.

Can't wait for the next installment!

Haha! I'm doing almost exactly the same thing except in Colombo. This is going to get interesting ... will have to spend that day in Male, because even if I got to sit in the sand for a day I'd be happy.

Great TR, somehow I feel I was doing something pretty similar..

Just about the alcohol, I actually got a nice set of Beers for just 4.5USD at the Airport hotel (which is very very nice) right at their pool.. some other MR tipped me off to that one.. definitely not overpricing in my eyes.. they got a shuttle bus permanently driving the 500 metres or so it is from the airport to the hotel.. highly suggested. You can actually checkin at T-3hours, then go for the airport hotel, then return just 30min or so before the flight actually will depart as the lounge is really, really nothing good. Their Spaghetti Napoli (which they only seem to have every 4th day) are the only eadible food option, and as you said, no alcohol. Arriving in the plane already slightly drunk was for sure quite a surprise for the crew, nevertheless the Dom is always beating any beers ^

Your writing style is very descriptive, so the pictures probably aren't necessary. Besides I guess we saw them from, YuropFlyer. Good stuff. I wish I had wandered over to the EK forum to get in on this. Good luck with the Dubai DO!

This is a great TR, though I think you should have stayed on the beach in MLE for a few hours to clear the alcohol out of your system to make the next hit of Dom more pleasurable!

Trust me, this doesn't work. I ended up in the Airport hotel serving more booze, usually boarding the plane around the same level of drunkness than while deboarding ^

btw, how many Dom's did you killed on your whole trip? I think I was, including the breakfast flights, on around 1-1.5 bottles per flight, but rarely managed more than 2..
