I was on a DL 767 in the exit row and was freezing on my way across the pond even in the aisle seat. On my return (in the same seat) I mentioned that to the FA and she said if I got cold to let her know and she would try to get the temperature adjusted.

Although exits can get cold, it doesn't hurt to tell someone and see if anything can be done.

I can't stand the 74 degrees plus cabin temperature. I wish they would set the whole plane to 68 and tell everyone to wear clothes. Not pajamas!

Honestly, I'd be happy with 55 or so. Anything more than that, and I can't sleep. I've asked to have the temp turned down even a few degrees from the usual sauna temps they have, and am usually met with a polite "sorry, but we can't".

I think the issue is that the exit door is less insulated, and the regular cabin walls have the heated A/C air circulating under them. There's certainly no outside air getting in.

I agree with you 100% turn it down to 55, I know how to wear a cover and turn off my vent.

But anything above 68 is rediculous.

When I board an aircraft that does not have individual air vents above the seats, I am very very depressed. I know it is probably going to be a miserable flight.

I have noticed that the trans pacific flights are kept cooler than the trans atlantic flights.

Not the exit row, but 1AB on UA171 were extraordinarily
cold today. I figure old insulation around 1L or something?

Smile Keeping warm

Always carry a wrap or small throw or blanket.

Even when you are not sitting beside an exit (often considered a great seat) you can shiver...brrr..

Be prepared for anything on a plane--and you will be comfortable.
