ATH (when I was there in June 2009) has a couple of free internet kiosks in the main check-in hall, before security. One of them wasn't working and one was very slow, IIRC.

MNL has free Internet in all terminals and even has convenient desk like charging stations with chairs and everything in Terminal 2. The only problem is the Internet doesn't actually connect to the Internet, which is of course a significant problem for any free Internet service. Typically if you do a site survey it will find and connect to to the correct network but will then hang up forever waiting for DHCP to assign you an IP address. This of course never happens and eventually it times out leaving you with no connectivity. It has been that way at least two years as far as I can tell on probably 20-30 trips through there. I'm sure it must be on the short list to be repaired and may be functional again by 2018 or so. Fortunately tethering to a prepaid smartpbone is cheap and easy in the Philippines.

If you have the time to list seemingly every airport code you could think of, why don't you go to all those airport's websites and see if they offer free wifi? Chances are it will be listed there.

I'm surprised these two haven't been mentioned yet:

AMS has free wifi for an hour (2x 30 minutes) provided by local ex-monopolist telco KPN. When using it for free it will only allow web browsing. When you pay you get the real deal with no limitations. KL's lounge has free wifi provided by KLM also without limitations.

LHR has free wifi for 20 minutes, provided by Boingo and American Express. If you have an AmEx card, you get 45 minutes. I only found this out on the plane while it was leaving so I didn't manage to try its limits. SkyTeam lounge has free wifi provided by BT Openzone. Interestingly they'll also allow you to log in the usual way and pay for it. Doesn't seem to have any benefit as the free service is also without limits.

OK, I will have to look it up onto the website. I'll give it chance but, thanks!

PS. I found it!! Here it is:
