No grab fin on engine

Hi, this is a little off topic
but does anyone know what the "no grab fin" on the engine is used for?

No, that would be "no grab Finn" -- which also would work in Ireland.

i presume it's used for redirecting airflow over the wing during takeoff? = better efficiency for the wing?

These types of objects are typically probes/sensors for things like temperature and pressure with the data being sent to the cockpit and other systems for collection and monitoring.
