Can I ask why my thread was deleted?
I really need some help and none of the airlines or any resource I can find will help me.
I was just hoping someone here could. It's not a scam, SPAM or anything else unsavory and I would be happy to prove it to anyone interested. I am simply in a bad way and looking for assistance.

That's why it was deleted. This isn't a charity, it's an internet forum for discussion of travel.

Why so cold about it...I read the forum all the time. Is asking for help some crime now?
I am in unbearable pain and nobody I have contacted so far can do anything. I really thought somebody would have a heart.
I am not begging for booze or something stupid. I came to this forum since people here know about flying and miles and how it works.
I guess I expected too much to think anyone would care.
And after reading some of the bickering and nonsense that goes on here I am appalled that a request for help is deleted in a few minutes yet people attack each other and rant and it is just fine.
Where have people's compassion gone?

I'm sorry about your pain--that sounds rough.
But you'll find, if you read the forums long enough, that every request for help--and they come along more frequently than you'd imagine--is generally lambasted and then deleted. Airlines have very strict rules about selling miles which can get people barred from a particular carrier--thus the necessity of a very black-and-white TOS on the part of Flyertalk.
Also, and perhaps this is just a pet peeve of mine, if you've been a frequent reader of FT, why did you choose to post only when you needed help? There are plenty of opportunities to contribute...taking without adding to the discourse is not the community spirit which drives this forum.

I'd like to post the request for help again if the mods will allow it. If there was some wording that was wrong let me know and I will edit it. I am just trying to get home and I can't do it like this. I need help.
I dont post much becasue I dont have much to add....you guys are the frequent fliers I just read about it. I dont have any useful info to post.
The rep at American was the one who suggested I asked if anyone could donate miles...i wasnt trying to buy them or break any rules. She was just telling me ways to get a seat my back could handle since i cant afford 5000+ for the seat.
Sorry I offended people by asking for help. I am not sure I understand why asking for help gets you lambasted and deleted. Thats is a sad commentary on humanity. I for one would help someone if I could. I guess I took it for granted there are others that would do the same. Beleive me I am the LAST person that would have expected i would be in this mess...i have tried everything I can to get out of it and I am reaching out now. Seems in vain.

It was this comment: "Anyone out there who would be willing to donate the miles in order to upgrade from the coach seat I can pay for so that I could at least manage to recline during the flight?". This is a violation of the FT Terms of Service. One is not permitted to solicit donations for miles.
