It puts you higher on the pecking order on the standby list which when things go wrong (or you just want to get home early) is a big deal. When you wait list as a premiere exec later than a handful of premiere's or misc John Q Public's, you will get bumped ahead of them which when there's 10 seats and 30 people on the list is quite helpful.
This was 3 years ago and I am still annoyed!!As a 1p, I generally cleared standby lists, and as a 1k, I believe that I always cleared it.

So, it's looking like I'll prob choose united. Economy Plus is a big draw for me. The question now seems to be how can I get to 2p, then 1p as soon as possible. I'm not willing to do all out MR's, but I would def consider multiple legs between LGA and ORD. Suggestions? Is there any way to purchase EQM?

. Good luck! For ITA, change your search to:
From: LGA:: ua ua
To: ORD:: ua ua
...to force two-segment options. However, remember that, while connecting is a good way to add up your miles faster, traveling thru cities with less frequent service will negate the advantages of frequent LGA-ORD flights in case of irrops.
