Buy Dateless Gift Ticket to Specific Destination
Is there a way to buy an airline ticket to a destination as a gift?
Not a gift card but an actual RT to a destination that is dateless so the recipient can use whenever they want?

The only way I know to do that is to buy a fully refundable/non restrictive ticket.
Unfortunately, that will be VERY expensive.

Some airlines offer it, Aloha and Hawaiian come to mind (good for one year, but open dated), American use to (though theirs was a round trip ticket, not to a specific destination), but I can't think of any who currently offer open ended tickets someplace.
Way too many people, myself included, would buy a few of those to redeem when the fares were higher then the cost of the voucher or whatever.
