Anything Equivalent to Flightmemory for Hotels?

I was wondering if anyone was aware of any sort of web application which could serve as an equivalent for hotel stays to what flightmemory does for flights. I know there are a few websites out there that allow you to track the countries which you have visited. Are any specific enough to allow you to pinpoint which cities you have stayed in, where you stayed, whilst also allowing comments to be added regarding the locale/accomodations?

I think a world-map with hyperlinked "push-pins" delineating hotels would be a fantastic travel tool. Travelers could view each others' world-maps, and click on hotel or location push-pins that interested them for photos and reviews. Anyone know if there is anything like this out there yet?

If I had anything remotely resembling programming skills, I would give it a crack. Could be a cool concept, though...kind of like a Travel-oriented myspace.

I trust you enjoyed National Talk Like a Pirate Day on the 19th?

What website allows you to track where you've been? I'd like to see something like that, actually.

Not necessarily places (in terms of cities), but there are websites that let you create maps of all the countries you have visited. For example, Visited Countries. Facebook also has a similar program that can be linked to one's facebook page.

None of these applications appears especially sophisticated yet. However, I would imagine it's only a matter of time before some travel site develops a travel-tracker utility that allows for more thorough treatment of places one has visited.

Tripadvisor has a feature that might fit the bill here. When you write up a review for the hotel, it will stick it on a map for you, along with all of your other reviews. It is the closest thing I've seen (but you do have to write a review for the hotel).
