Is it ethical to grab a Smarte Carte without paying for it?

When "TravelBuzz!" became a forum largely for nonsensical survey questions posed by a few people, I stopped reading it.
Recently another long time member of FT suggested that "Travel Buzz" is worth coming back to, that things have gotten better. So I came back for a look and this is the thread at the top of the forum. All I can say is, sigh....

I mis-read the title of this as "outsmarting the smart gate" and thought this was a thread about getting through immigration illegally - what a relief it's only a dumb spam question...

You get a 5-yr sentence for going to the parking garage, finding an abandoned cart and then taking that cart back to the terminal and using it for your luggages? Seems a bit excessive, no?
