To your point, I know how you feel, I've flown several times domestically in India -and prior to the deregulation with just Indian Airlines - it was a joke. They'd hold flights because some MP (member of Parliament, equiv. to Congressman/woman) didn't feel like waking up in the morning etc. etc. and nary a dime (or Rupee) back to the pax who were "inconvenienced" - including missing int'l connections etc.
Spoke to a hotel manager and he confirmed a few other guests at the hotel had the same problem with MH recently .......

Erm ... 'the airline'? 'My flight'??
I think you'll have better luck getting informative replies if you maybe included, like, you know, some of those pesky little details -- such as what airline, what flight (i.e., originating airport and routing), etc., etc. Just a hunch.
cheers,
Henry

I had a same delayed/cancelled MH Business Class flight on June 6th out of PVG to KUL at 10am (connecting to BKK). I had arrived at the airport by 8 am and noticed my flight was delayed until 11:30am. I informed the agents I have an intl connection. All they said was "just wait." So being a fool that I am, I waited. Now it was 12:30pm, people started getting restless and somewhat hostile at the agents who by now decided to pass out the lunch coupon. I was very pleasant and accomodating until now. I patiently waited in line for the lunch coupon and when it was finally my turn, I pretty much threw the coupon on the counter and told them I dont need the coupon, what I need is to get to KUL to make the BKK connection and the conversation went sort of ugly after that. After 5 minutes of heated argument, the agent finally agreed to put me on another flight straight to BKK on China Eastern flight. Now, I am not in any position to be picky at this point but MU!!
Unfortunately, I didnt have my computer with me and was not prepare to demand specifics. I asked for general SQ, OZ or CX just anything BUT china eastern but according to her, there were no seats what so ever on all three airlines! It was hard to believe but since I didnt have the method of verifying this, I just accepted.
