The difference here is that MH has all the while been quite a decent airline, and have often been compared to SQ. Cancellation of this nature was almost unheard of, infact it wasnt that long ago I flew with them on a 2.5hr flight (B737) with only 10-15 passengers onboard.

Spoke to a hotel manager and he confirmed a few other guests at the hotel had the same problem with MH recently .......
