Smith-Reynolds Airport, which has a pretty cool IATA code: INT. It has been defunct to commercial since 2000, but I did fly PI between there and CLT when I was a kid in the 1980s.
INN, which still serves mostly seasonal pax - I flew there on VO back in 2000 or 2001.

Yup, Winston-Salem NC

Besides INT, DAN (Danville, VA) used to have scheduled flights on Piedmont Airlines. Unfortunately I did not get to fly to either one.

Today, people from DAN fly out of LYH or GSO, and people from the INT area drive the short distance to GSO.

Dothan, Alabama (DHN) and Macon, Georgia (MCN) for me. Flew in and out of both airports on DL (to/from ATL).

Dothan is a single gate (though it does have a jetway) and no bathroom in the sterile area (at least not when I flew out of there nearly 7-8 years ago). If you need to go to the restroom before boarding, you need to do it before clearing security or leave the secure area and reclear security.

Macon technically has three gates (3 doors) all out of the same room (about the same size as the holding area at DHN) though I do believe it at least had bathrooms on the sterile side. MCN hasn't had DL Connection service for years. The biggest convenience was not having to drive to and from ATL but otherwise offered little to no time savings over just driving to ATL. Since losing DL service about 15 years ago, MCN briefly had service on Silver and for about 6-7 years has had Contour public charter service to BWI on ERJs and occasionally Sun Country charters as part of casino vacation packages.

I'm a bit surprised AA hasn't added service to MCN from CLT to go after the DoD traffic with City Pair fares for military and government personnel traveling to and from Robins Air Force Base. I also wonder if AA did add service to CLT if DL would re-add service to ATL but I also find myself hoping I never really have to worry about it because if I do, it means I'm traveling back to (or living again in) Central Georgia.

LCY is the smallest London airport. Often with check luggage takes me 15 minutes from wheels touching down to passing through immigration/customs, picking up my bag and leaving the terminal.
GIB is always fascinating to see intersection of run way and main road from Spain.

MKL - Jackson, TN. It was several years ago, AA turboprop to STL. They were without commercial service for quite a while, but now have Southern Airways(?) flying to ATL and STL.

Chiayi, Taiwan - in 2001

when flying back to Taipei TSA domestic airport (not TPE), my friend escorted me into the airport 5-10 minutes before my flight departure. Then it was a bus gate. Within an hour I was in Taipei TSA and also with a bus gate.

now I’m reading that with high speed rail most people now only take rail to & from Chiayi.

I have been many times to Caddo Lake. Typically we stay in Uncertain, TX which has several rental cottages and an RV park. The lake channels through the bald cypress trees can be confusing so grab a map. The lake has poor cell service so it is easy to disconnect while visiting.

LBJ’s father in law TJ Taylor owned property around the north end of the lake. TJ hosted US House Speaker Sam Rayburn on visits to the lake.

that would certainly be a special case of "Routes Flown Changing One Letter Origin to Destination"

I flew IAH-SHV-GGG-DFW on a Texas International Convair 600 in March 1974

For me, BUR? It's one of those stopover WN LAS - SFO flights. If I recall, it's really small, no jet bridge, and you have to like walk down mobile stairs. When I think "third world" airport, this is it.

In this century, a couple of EAS airports: LEB (Lebanon, NH) and CMX (Houghton, MI). LEB has flights to BOS and Westchester County (HPN), both on Cape Air. Interestingly, the BOS service is subject to TSA screening. The HPN service goes into a FBO there so is not subject to TSA. Cape Air runs a dedicated shuttle into Manhattan--to replace the Beech1900 service USAirways had between LEB-LGA. This way Dartmouth professors can do day trips to NYC pretty seamlessly.
In the late 80s flew into Benton Harbor, MI from MDW on Chicago Express (Jetstream 31)

BUR is "third world"? LOL

The President of the United States uses stairs to his airplane. Big deal!

I don't recall if I've posted on this thread, but a few of mine that come to mind are:
BRW - Utqiagvik (formerly Barrow), AK in 2004
TUP - Tupelo, MS in 2009
LAN - Lansing, MI in 2009

I don't have passenger counts handy so I'm going by the facilities and runway length - of course, of we were going by the latter, SNA (Orange County, CA) would be the winner!
