Newbie Question: Challenge Programs

I know that AA offers "challenge programs" to let you achieve status early (a 3 month pro-rated target) but which other airlines do the same thing?

I know that UA doesn't - they seemed to imply I was stupid for even asking!

What about Alaska?

Thanks!
SM

AFAIK, Only AA does it, and it's not "official". You might have to call a couple of times until you get a CSR rep that will confirm it.

Most airlines, however, will match a status, up to mid-tier usually. Hope this helps!

cheers,
