LOL. You beat me too it, I was going to make a comment about Lost. On these Lost forums I visit, some guy said this about Bernard and why he won't die like the rest of the tailies, "Bernie's not a full blood tailie. He was just using the can."

You're young and sit in a premium cabin. We get it. A great many of us have done/ continue to do the same. There are tons of these threads. There will also always be ton of people to say something about you, wherever you sit, when you're young, old, fat, skinny, with child, etc. Letting some clown provoke you does nothing to make you seem any better than him. People might look at you, but so what? Look at them. Or just sit down. Once the flight is over who cares.

LOL .. too bad I don't follow that series. I saw it couple of times and never really have any interest in it.

Now "24" and "The Shield" is another story ^

I believe I read somewhere that those who are seated in the tail section have a greater chance of surviving a plane crash
Yup.

The tail is the strongest part of the plane. The second strongest is the place where the wing meets the fuselage. The only problem in the latter place is if a compressor disk decides to fly out of the engine - you're screwed, as is most of the fuselage.

There's an AA 762 (?) down in LAX that had an engine fire during test. You can see how badly it damaged the fuselage.

I have never ever thought of that. Of all the "going down" thoughts that have crossed my mind that was never there....

Whats worse is I am flying World Traveller Plus on British Airways this December, and that cabin is right over the wing. Ack.

Speaking of which, what happened to Bernard and his wife? They are yet to be seen this season IIRC.

I wish/don't wish I could be as spoiled/nice as this insecure/selfaware child/young adult who posted this worthless/worthwhile thread.

My son (16) flies First -- internationally, and by himself -- and weird looks are very rare.

Interesting post.

Two recommendations in order to improve your premium cabin experience. After all, somebody (probably not you) is paying serious money for it.

1.) Choose airlines that treat all F and C pax like F and C pax. An airline that treats "upgraders" differently than "paying" pax who are all travelling in the same cabin is ridiculous.

2.) Fly airlines that usually (that's 95-99% of all cases) don't run out of certain food choices in F or C. Airlines regularly running out of food choices in premium cabins aren't offering real C or F service. They are merely pretending. The same applys to low-quality airlines that cater so little choices in C and F that they actually have to prioritize menu choices by FFP status.

That said, it's perfectly OK to fly airlines that don't offer flatbed seats in international Business Class (or even First on certain a/c), often run out of food choices, serve pre-departure drings in plastic cups, feature plastic knives in F, have surley FAs that disappear after meal service, etc. etc. if the ticket is either MUCH cheaper than those of the premium competition or you can confirm an easy upgrade from a cheap booking class in advance. In the end, it's all about value.
