I'm currently in a resort near Phuket and I would not have known about this if my friends back home had not sent an e-mail to my blackberry. Everything seems normal in this little slice of isolated paradise.

Im in Siam Paragon now (internet cafe)..crowded with tourists....traveling around Bangkok, you would not even be aware that anything happened (although traffic is lighter than usual because today has been declared as a holiday)....
