Another carry-on question
I am flying this week for the first time since the new carry-on restrictions went into effect, and of course am aware of the ban on liquids, etc. My question is whether the same size carry-on bag is permitted as under the pre-August rules. Media reports have been mixed on this point, some saying new size limits are coming, others saying those limits already are in effect.
I don't want to show up with my normal carry-on and be told I have to check it.
Thanks in advance.

As long as it doesn't have the proscribed "liquids" in it, you may use the same size bag domestically. I am uncertain of the rules to the U.K.

There are threads on carry-on size in the Security forum and the Travel Technology forum.
It seems that only UK and BRU have imposed tighter limits.

Out of the UK (and maybe other EU airports) the carry-on can only be about 13"x16"x6", about the size of a normal lap-top bag or flexible daypack. The easiest thing is to check on the airport's web site.
