I get to my room, big, nice, view of the HOLLYWOOD sign in the distance. I drop my things. See nice fruit and a bottle of Pinot Noir as a welcome gift (unrequested, just there with a nice note.
Were you there with your wife, Morgan Fairchild?

I need to start reading the bible when I travel...

Never found (or left) any undies, but if someone found a Green Bay Packers ballcap in the Norwalk Marriott in Cali, I'd appreciate it back...

Lol!

Love this story.

What's really funny is that it was so prominently displayed, and you were obviously a VIP guest. Clearly you showed a sense of humor about it. I could always tell when I worked for Hyatt who the REALLY experienced travellers were. Stuff like this never bothered them--they thought it was hilarious.

Housekeepers find some insane stuff in the rooms, particularly porn.

Very serious. It is an efficient way to get rid of old clothes...especially for the kids.

We just came back from a 2 week holiday...we left with 3 bags and came back with 2

No underwear, but a men's swimsuit, so the next worst thing.

Worst thing I ever found was a bloodsoaked washcloth. I found a bag full of makeup in the same room. Part of me wonders what there story there was; the other part doesn't want to know.

Years ago at the marriott in PVD we had requested late check out and was granted this request.Upon returning to our room early afternoon we found huge pairs of underwear all around the room! Even worse our luggage had been gone thru and ironicly enough only lifesavers candies were missing from my mom's bag.We later found out that our room was given to lineman from the ny jets! It's funny to look back it at it now but wasnt at the time!

Thanks for the laughs...

I found a large pair of cream silk boxer shorts hanging on the hook on the inside of the bathroom door in the Marriott at Portsmouth (UK).

Ick!

I'd be so disgusted if I ever found a bloodsoaked anything in my hotel room when I checked in! I've never found anything left behind in my hotel room when I've check in but I have left several things behind... a 6 pack of beer, toothpaste, underwear and lots of traveling brochures. I'm sure the next guest did not get to enjoy the beer, but hopefully housekeeping did!

I once pulled a toenail clipping out of my toddler's mouth at a Holiday Inn...luckily now they are too old to be crawling around on the floor.

You say that like it is a bad thing...

When I was a teenager, in Killington, VT we stayed at some hotel/motel and I found some women's lace underwear hanging on the inside doorknob of the bathroom door. Without thinking I pulled them off the door knob initially thinking it was a ratty old washcloth. The time I realized what they were was the same time I realized that they were as stiff as a board, which made intriguing images come to mind (remember, I was a teenager). I quickly tossed them in the trash and washed my hands thoroughly.

Fortunately I haven't found anything as interesting since then.

on the flip side, last week I was in Santa Fe with Mrs OB one and we took a nap after sightseeing all day. When we started to get dressed for dinner, she couldn't find her bra anywhere. We tore the room apart with no luck, looked everywhere, under the bed, behind the headboard, in the closet, in the pillow cases, bathroom, everywhere - nothing. She was forced to go to dinner au natural and make a stop later for support.

When reading the thread title, I couldn't believe the coincidence. The only thing I can remember finding is one or two books left in the desk drawers bt previous occupants.

I went to the launderette last month in the middle of a 2 week trip to England. While my clothes were in the dryer, I spotted unfamiliar flashes of color going round and round. When I removed everything, I found 4 different socks, 1 shirt and 1 pair of knickers all sized to fit a 2 year old that must have been stuck in the back of the washer. I hope her mom came back for them.
