India Visa
I have a friend with USA / UK passports.

He is currently in NZ and will be going to Australia.

What is the easiest way for him to get a visa? Does India have visas at the airport?

No visa on arrival for US/UK nationals visiting India. He will need to get a visa from an Indian consulate/embassy before travelling to India.

... and that process is a bit more cumbersome when applying outside your home country. An extra form needs to be filled out and will be faxed to the Indian consulate in your home country, to inquire about hindrances for visa issuance. Assuming your friend applies in NZ and is not a NZ citizen, this adds a few days to processing time.

The Indian High Commission to NZ is currently processing visas fairly quickly. Not sure how much time being a non-NZer will add.
