Priority Pass Lounge List

Hi all,

I am sure this thread should be somewhere else, but I am new to FT and don't know where this would go:

I am losing my FB platinum and going down to gold, and the worst part is that I will most likely lose any hope of getting into the NW lounges in the USA. Is Priority Pass an option? What lounges participate? I see only a list of cities, not actual lounges, on thier website and that is naturally no help.

My guess is that the lounges are not optimal, or else everyone would have PP and not worry about elite levels?

Any help is appreciated!

FWIW, I've found that the lounge list is quite satisfactory, considering the price paid and the lack of restrictions (they don't care what airline or class you're flying in). THey have great coverage of most DL/UA/CO/NW lounges throughout the US (the key word being "most").

I think a primary reason why most people don't go with PP over an airline-centric one is because PP charges you $24 per guest - yup, even your spouse. This is while airline lounge passes usually allow (one or two) guests free of charge. IMO that is an issue for some.

If you do a Search on PriorityPass (probably in TravelBuzz) you'll find a lot of info. I've been a member for 2 years and am ready to sign up again. I like it because you're not tied to one airline's clubs- gives you more flexibility in your travels and you won't get screwed if your "loyalty" ailrine starts closing down lounges to cut costs.

We've been very happy with the selection but note that, last I checked, PriorityPass lounges didn't have any places available in CVG, SLC or CLT- could be a bad deal if you connect in any of these places or live there. Great international selection. W've used them in LHR, EDI, PRA, BUD, ZUR and probably more cities that I've forgotten at the moment.

I'll move this to a better location (TravelBuzz was mentioned as a place Priority Pass gets discussed).

The website lists the airports with lounges but not the actual lounges that participate. Not a huge deal - but the website won't tell you things like only the Delta Crown Room on Conc. E participates in ATL and none of the DL clubs on Concs. T, A, B or C.

I had a membership last year and would have renewed but I got a great deal as a AA Plat member (AA waived the initiation fee since I registered at DFW when the new terminal opened). PP all depends on where you connect and whether or not you spend time at your home airport before departing. I tend to get to airports early so I was able to spend time at the UA Club at DCA before trips on AA and UA Club is fantastic with a great selection of snacks. I could always easily use the CO, DL or UA clubs when connecting on AA through DFW which really came in handy during a 4 hour delay to LAS. The program also came in handy for random trips on DL to Florida or the Southeast. I highly recommend it and will definitely sign back up if I decide to drop my AA membership.

PP Update

Hi All,

Thanks for the wealth of info! I gave it a shot and emailed the PP customer service and lowenbehold they sent my an Excel file of EXACTLY which lounges and locations participate in the program as of 1-Dec-05. My guess is that there are monthly updates, who knows.....

If anyone wants the list I am happy to send it to you.

It happens to have just about everywhere I fly covered, even CAI! Surprisingly strong lounges as well. However, I am fairly certain the LD's in CAI will give me the same look when I show them a PP card as I gave street vendors in the city before I learned Arabic....

That's interesting! Before I joined, about one year ago, I asked for a list and was told that new policy stated they were no longer allowed to e-mail the list to non-members.

Enjoy the program, you'll love it!

I'd say quarterly, rather than monthly, but they do send periodic "update" e-mails of that sort.

They send a monthly update with lounge additions, deletions or changes to any lounge opening or closing times. There are also a .pdf file and Palm tool you can download that are updated monthly.

I doubt it- I've never encountered a different attitude when handing over a PriorityPass card and all the airline club employees have been familiar with it. They just cheerfully hand you a piece of paper to sign acknowledging that you've been there (with number of guests, if applicable) and you're in.

My mom was initially refused at the SAN Delta club. She stood her ground until the rep was able to "confirm" that they were, indeed, participating. Otherwise, I've been treated very well by all club staff on each visit. Some loungeshave you fill out a sign-in sheet rather than a receipt form.
