do i have enough time?

This summer, in jUne, i am planning my family trip to Asia.

Jfk-Tokyo

Tokyo-Beijing

Beijing-Shanghai

Shanghai-Hong Kong

Hong KOng-JFk with a night stopover in tokyo

If i told you thta i had apprx. 2 weeks to spend, how would you divide it up? Consider that you lose a day going there.

Assuming i leave jfk on the 1st, this is what i was thinkking.

June 1 leave ny
june 2 arrive tokyo
june 3-5 tokyo fun!
june 6 leave tokyo, arrive beijing
june 7-8 beijing fun!
june 9 leave beijing, arrive shanghai
june 10-11 shanghai grand hyatt fun!
june 12 leave shanghai arrive hong kong
june 13-14 hong kong kowloon fun!
june 15 leave hong kong, arrive tokyo
june 16 leave for jfk

i feel like i wont have time to see much. what do you think? thanks so much for eveyrones imput.

I'd cut out at least one city and add the time to the others.

Personally, I think 3 full days in each of the cities listed would be more likely to lead to a satisfying visit.

The main thing you're going to see will be airplane cabins. I would drop Shanghai and have a week in Japan, five days in Beijing, and five days in HK.

That looks pretty doable. I would not omit Tokyo if you've never been before; it's something to see. If you have more than a few days it would be nice to take a train out into the countryside and see more of Japan; I've always wanted to do that but never had the time.
